##  Navigating the exhibit 

 

There are many paths through these varied materials: you could follow the evolution of a particular note-taking medium, or trace notes taken within a single discipline, or look at notes taken collaboratively across the ages. The itineraries listed on the left have been mapped out by the exhibit's curators as well as other scholars interested in note-taking.
